NHSE EoE Appraiser Training
NHSE EoE have announced a new round of GP appraiser training. If you are interested in becoming an appraiser and making a significant impact on the professional development of your peers, this role is for you.
GP Trainers & Educators

GP Leadership Grants
We recognise that leadership skills are fundamental to the positive growth and performance of all organisations, and good leaders are able to motivate, support and retain staff, which for general practice, means a more consistent provision of care to our patients.
We are delighted to offer a grant towards a programme of leadership study for current or new leaders within practices and PCN’s.

EDUCATION
GP & ACP Monthly Education Programme
A series of monthly education evenings for GPs and ACPs, usually on a Tuesday or Thursday, with a mix of virtual (zoom) and face-to-face sessions. These will cover topics we get commonly requested from our local population of GPs and will be delivered by high quality local speakers and experts in a mixture of both zoom and face-to-face events. Please email us at canptraininghub@nhs.net if you have any topics you’d like to suggest.
Format:
The programme will include talks from a range of speakers covering a variety of clinical and non-clinical topics, followed by the opportunity for Q&A.
Schedule:
The schedule of dates is as below, topics and speakers will be added as soon as they are confirmed. All sessions take place from 19:00-20:30 (unless otherwise stated).
Venues:
Sessions will be delivered virtually via Zoom unless marked as face-to-face (FtF). (All FtF events will take place at a venue in the Huntingdon area.)

All events will be advertised in our Training & Events calendar at least 6-8 weeks prior to the event. Booking links will also be shown below when events are open for booking.

First5 Monthly Education Sessions
In conjunction with the GP Fellowship we have developed a programme of First5-specific education sessions which take place monthly on a Thursday morning. These are delivered by expert speakers on a range of clinical topics aimed specifically at recently CCT’d GPs.

GP Career Support Portal
The portal contains resources, guidance and support for GPs in England at varying stages of their career - from newly qualified GPs to those at the end of their career. The portal is accessible via the FutureNHS platform, please visit the website and sign up to access.
CUHP Learning to Lead Programme
Applications are now open for the CUHP Learning to Lead Programme commencing in November 2021. This Programme will be of value to Consultants, General Practitioners, SAS doctors and senior nursing and AHP staff (Band 8A and above) who seek to develop and refine their clinical leadership skills, and are aspiring to, or have recently started in, a leadership role.
Next Gen GP
We are excited to bring Next Gen GP, a funded national leadership programme, to Cambridgeshire & Peterborough. The programme is for GP trainees and early career GPs (first 5-7 years) with an interest in health policy and the wider NHS, and the enthusiasm, commitment, passion and drive to change the system to better serve the needs of patients and the profession.

Kingsfund: System Leadership
Working beyond organisational boundaries on challenges of mutual concern that cannot be solved by any one person or institution. This calls for a collaborative approach across a variety of new boundaries.
New to Partnership Payment Scheme (N2PP)
N2PP is a new commitment from the February 2020 ‘Update to the GP Contract agreement 2020/21–2023/24’, aimed at growing the number of partners – and individuals with equivalent status – working in primary care. Visit the NHS website for more information on eligibility and how to apply.
Pathway to Partnership
An ILM accredited professional development programme from Qualitias for new and prospective partners in GP practices. This 12-month programme focuses on Leadership, Strategy and Operations and for those new to partnership, NHS England offers funding via the New to Partnership Payment Scheme.
